U-Boats, short for Unterseeboot, were German submarines used during World War 1. These highly advanced vessels played a significant role in naval warfare, disrupting enemy supply lines and sinking numerous ships. U-Boats were equipped with torpedoes and had the ability to submerge underwater, making them stealthy and deadly. Their effectiveness led to the development of convoy systems and anti-submarine tactics by the Allies.
